Amazingly we’re up to post number twenty-five today and off course I’ve got five more great Aussie albums for you, this time by Holly Throsby, The Go-Betweens, The Lighthouse Keepers, Rabbit Island and Missy Higgins. Once again I really do hope you enjoy them, if you press play?

On Night by Holly Throsby (2004)
Yet another debut album I like/love the best from this artist! Can’t find any of Holly’s albums on any previous Aussie albums lists anywhere or this album at award shows or didn’t appear on the AIRA album chart when originally released, if you’ll wanna know? Throsby has gone to released six album overall so maybe, those one more popular than this one I’ve picked? It’s a pretty mellow folksy music to her beautiful lyrics and if dig this they’re five more albums to check out, you know? More recently, well since 2016 has wrote three novels which are well worth checking out too! Black and white video clip was made for Things Between People song:
The second song in would be my fave entitled Up With The Birds:

Oceans Apart by The Go-Betweens (2005)
Reformed band new albums aren’t normally worth much at all but I totally love Go-Betweens reunion and those albums so can’t help myself to include their ninth and what would be their final studio album. Off course all the tracks were written by Grant McLennan and Robert Forster for this one last time and did go on to win the Adult Contemporary Album award at the 2005 ARIA music awards show. Then McLennan passed away on May 2006 aged 48 from a heart attack. The upbeat rock opening song Here Comes a City has a black and white video:
I think, I’ll say Darlinghurst Nights is my fave track:

Ode To Nothing by The Lighthouse Keepers (2010)
This is a so-called best of compilation of their recordings from 1983 to 1986 so yet again it’s a bit out of context but the band never any hits. They’re originally from Canberra which is the capital city of Australia and just might be the first band to feature on my little/long list of Aussie albums, that place isn’t known for music really. Tracks on this comp album came from a few singles, a mini-album and one album and really should have been more known at the time or popular but didn’t fit into Countdown TV and Molly’s “do yourself a favor” mentality of the early 80’s so they came and when doing their own thing eg. wicked great indie pop music without much notices. A very low budget video was made for their song called Ocean Liner:
Springtime just has to be my own fave track:

O God, Come Quick by Rabbit Island (2011)
We’ve got to yet another Perth, W.A. artist, again and again and I’ve seem to have picked a lot of albums from over here on the west coast but I guess, that’s where I’m at. So it’s a cool name for an act but really it’s a solo artist playing pretty mellow folksy music, yet another one for today. Her real name is Amber Fresh and as well once again it’s yet another debut album. It also seem to be total free download album from bandcamp website, you know? Has gone on to release three more albums but I still love her first the best. The opening song Adam’s Song has a video clip made for it:
Jay and Silent would be my fave song:

OZ by Missy Higgins (2014)
It’s yet another cover album appearing in my Aussie albums list, it’s again all Aussie songwriters/artists yet again! The fifteen track listing in running order originals are by: Something for Kate, Dan Sultan, Perry Keyes, The Drones, The Go-Betweens, Divinyls, Icehouse, Slim Dusty, Paul Kelly, The Blackeyed Susans, The Angels, Kelly once again, Warumpi Band, Neil Murray and Don Walker. It’s her fourth studio album and maybe, shouldn’t have her cover songs album but I do? Somehow unbelievable The Drones’ Gareth Liddiard’s Shark Fin Blues was the lead track/video clip lifted for this album but she does do a beautiful version of it:
Off course just above is my fave but after that is NYE, wrote by Perry Keyes:

So that’s all the Aussie albums for the letter “O” all together somehow in this one post today! Also almost all are female artist/front-woman acts minus one band of a couple of blokes and they’re mainly from 2000’s tooooo 2010’s but one is flashbacking to 1980’s! So keep asking, what did you think of those?
Cheers!
